Terms of Service

TheFreeLoadBoard is a matching platform. Carriers and truckers use it to find brokers, shippers and freight forwarders, talk to them, and schedule loads. We provide information and tools. It is up to those parties to reach their own agreement. When they do, they can choose to use our optional digital signature tool to sign that agreement and keep a permanent record of it on the blockchain.

We are not a broker, carrier, shipper or freight forwarder, and we are not a party to any load or agreement between users. We don’t arrange or provide transportation, we never handle freight, and we never touch freight payments. Every rate, load and payment is between you and the company you work with.

Give us true and current information about yourself and your company, including your USDOT and MC numbers. Never use another company’s identity or numbers. Keep your login safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

You are responsible for the loads you post, bid on, accept and haul, and for following the laws and FMCSA and DOT rules that apply to you. That includes holding required authority, bonds, insurance and permits. Before you do business with anyone you meet here, check their identity, authority, insurance and reputation yourself.

We show information from public sources such as FMCSA SAFER and from users themselves. That includes authority status, insurance, ratings and “verified” badges. It can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. It helps you decide, but it is not a guarantee or endorsement of anyone.

Using our digital signature tool is optional. You may sign your agreements any other way you choose. If you do sign documents on the platform, such as rate confirmations, bills of lading and proofs of delivery, you agree they are signed electronically and are as binding as paper signatures under the federal ESIGN Act and Georgia law. When a document is signed, a fingerprint of it (not the document itself) is recorded permanently on public blockchains to prove it hasn’t changed. Those records can’t be deleted.

We may email, text and notify you in the app about your account, loads, bids, signatures and compliance alerts. Texts are only sent if you give us a mobile number and agree to them. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts, or HELP for help.

Don’t post fake or misleading loads, double broker, impersonate anyone, scrape or bulk-copy the platform, harass other users, or use the platform for anything illegal. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that do, or that we reasonably suspect of fraud.

The platform is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for anything that happens between users, including:

• lost, damaged or late cargo;
• unpaid or late freight charges;
• accidents or injuries;
• fraud or double brokering;
• any user’s breach of an agreement or loss of authority or insurance.

Any claim about a load is against the other party, not us. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or lost profits. Our total liability to you for anything is limited to $100. You release us from claims arising from your dealings with other users. You will cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees, if a claim against us arises from your loads, your agreements or your breaking these terms.

• Price. The platform is free. Any optional paid service will be clearly marked and need your separate agreement.
• Closing your account. You can close your account at any time.
• Changes. We may update these terms and will tell you in the app. You can accept the new terms or close your account.
• Law. These terms are governed by Georgia law. Disputes go to the courts in Fulton County, Georgia.
